My walk thru replacing a broken blend door arm on my 1997 jeep wrangler tj and a few other tips along the way.

The big black gear on the hvac distribution box seems broken though. The work to install the fix is relatively simple and can be accomplished by the average shade tree mechanic. What i discovered was this is a very common problem with my model of jgc 1999 2004. But here are four common things to check out first that may help resolve the problem.

The blend door controls air. The alterations are under the dash panel in the foot area and are not visible. Blend door actuator motor replacement joes. I did the surgical procedure on my jeep in my parents barn.
